That’s right, these ladies were preparing to visit our local Pride festival. They went on to discuss a friend of theirs and how they were not fond of his new boyfriend. They thought he could find someone more kind and gentle. Turns out they were also looking forward to seeing a friend’s band perform at the festival.
I was very impressed. Pride is grand but is also very crowded and hot. I am not sure I would have the guts to go if I were hooked up to an oxygen tank. Plus, my grandparents probably would never have thought of attending Pride- I wouldn’t even think of asking them.
I wonder what they ended up wearing to Pride.

i love them. i love this. i love hearing slices of conversation like this, that makes you happy to be alive.
uh! speaking of daytons, i have to boycot macy's anyways... they just laid off my friends mom after 19 years... she's now 63 looking for a new job.
This kind of thing gives me hope...the conversation, not the layoff at Macy's.
yay for cool old people! This story makes me happy for openness!
That's awesome. Don't judge a book by it's cover!! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hey Missy, your blog is awesome. The drawings are great. I'm jealous!
Keep up the great work!
smiles...very cute and I like your page. I followed your name here.... Pride parade is not something to see in the town I live in but I use to reside in Northern Ca and no one thought twice about things. The worlds mighty different from city to city isn't it...
yay for old ladies going to pride. maybe they'll wear matching rainbow moomoos.
